THE LOCHGAIR ASSOCIATION
The Lochgair Association is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation - a Registered Charity Number SCO49176 and is managed by a Board of Trustees.
The Association aims to:
Improve community facilities and amenities in Lochgair and adjacent settlements which lack the range of facilities or activities normally available in urban areas.
Promote recreational, social, and educational activities, and volunteer services.
As a Registered SCIO and charity the Association's services are open to everyone, whether members or not.
However members, who reside in the Lochgair area or who have ongoing associations with Lochgair because of family connections, play an active role in determining the priorities of the Association and that of the Board. This year’s priorities include:
Exploring options for refurbishment and renovation of the Village Hall.
Developing the social and activity programme on offer in the Village Hall and other facilities in the village.
Members receive on a regular basis:
Notification of forthcoming events;
Copies of ‘The Lochgair Update’ (local newsletter);
Copies of the local telephone directory;
Information on group activities;
Timely warnings about scams; and
Any other information that members wish to circulate.
The Lochgair Update is issued quarterly to members of the Association, providing news on activities and events in the village and articles that are, hopefully, of interest to members.
